EILER investigated the condition of platform workers in the country in light of the introduction of new technologies, like app-based online platforms, in production processes. The working conditions of platform workers in the Philippines like the delivery riders for Grab, Food Panda, Shoppee, and Lalamove, give us a glimpse of realization of the digitization of labor under the so-called Industry 4.0.
